This session will also review the emerging digital cinema formats and consequent distribution segment and its impact on the exhibition industry. The panel discussion will attempt to draw a picture of the exhibition industry in India that is emerging.

TECHNIQUES OF SYNC SOUND
Synopsis:
While Hollywood uses sync sound frequently, Bollywood till recently avoided this technique. But today the buzz word in Bollywood is Sync Sound. Farhan Akhtar and Ashutosh Gowarikar were the first few to opt for sync sound in their movies Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan respectively and have stuck to it in their other ventures. Today the likes of Yash Chopra, Shaad Ali, Ketan Mehta, Vishal Bhardawaj, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar all opting for sync sound in their movies. Cinema India has been organising conferences on sync sound from the last six years. This particular session will be organised with the help and coordination of the AES.
